Time seems to slow down as soon as you exit I-70 and start heading north on Highway BB into Rocheport, Mo.

The little community on the Missouri River and the Katy Trail just west of Columbia, Mo., lives up to its image as an oasis of tranquility surrounded by a fast-paced world.

First, you'll see the Les Bourgeois Bistro and A-Frame Wine Garden. It offers a relaxing meal or a spot to savor a drink while watching the sun set. The buildings are on a bluff overlooking the Missouri River valley.
