Movie Review | Downey shows skill in 'Iron Man' role
Not as good as the original but still a lot of comic-style fun, "Iron Man 2" continues where the first movie left off but with a few changes and additions.
The best thing returning from the first "Iron Man" is Robert Downey Jr. in the title role. As rich, self-centered Tony Stark who invents a special suit allowing him to fly, repel bullets and defeat all bad guys, Downey imbues this dual character with aplomb, wit and urbanity not found in the world of comic-book heroes and very rare in Hollywood since, oh, maybe the 1930s.
