I recently overheard a conversation between two mothers whose children attend a Catholic parish school. They seemed to be strongly objecting that the upcoming First Communion Mass was to include children from the parish school of religion (PSR) program. Without repeating their biting comments, I will say that they consider the PSR families less Catholic, less dedicated and less worthy than those in parochial schools.
