Between bites of ice cream, Jack Freeman and Cy Lake take turns recounting days spent in military service during World War II and the Korean War.

Their stories are familiar to the staff at Cardinal Ritter Senior Services Adult Day Program in Shrewsbury. Lake, 79, and Freeman, 91, look forward to coming to the center every Tuesday to meet friends and enjoy the entertainment provided.

"This is my day," said Freeman. "I think I've missed one Tuesday in six months."
