Priests give generously to capital campaign

Teak Phillips/St. Louis Review

Priests of the archdiocese contributed almost $1.6 million to the Faith for the Future campaign for Kenrick-Glennon Seminary.

The amount of gifts was 3.6 percent of the total contributed to the campaign.

Msgr. Mark Rivituso, pastor of Curé of Ars Parish in Shrewsbury, ordained in 1988, said the priests have a vested interest in the seminary. "The priesthood is a great love for all of us, and we wanted to ensure that those who are being called by Christ are being given the opportunity to truly respond to Him," Msgr. Rivituso said.
