Vacations are often the best of times for married couples.
An extravagant Alaskan cruise or two-week Hawaiian getaway are nice, but not practical for many recently married couples. Spending several days away at a destination within a short drive can be just as fun.
Many state parks have low-cost lodging facilities where you can make your own meals, saving on costs of eating out every day. Other resort areas also offer lodging with kitchen facilities.
