St. Patrick Center essay winners show compassion for homeless
St. Patrick Center, the Catholic Charities agency that works to end homelessness, has announced the winners of this year's Eighth-Grade Essay Contest, an annual program to build student awareness.
First-place winner is Will Smith of St. Stephen Protomartyr School in South St. Louis; second-place winner is Kathryn Ellebracht of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque School in Oakville; and third-place winner is Grace Butz of St. Stephen Protomartyr.
