Prepare for Christmas through Charity
There is something exciting and a bit dangerous about selling newspapers in the early morning hours, in the middle of a busy St. Louis intersection like Lindell Boulevard and Newstead Avenue. This was the case last week as I grabbed an armful of Old Newsboys Day Special Editions, a project of Suburban Journals, and proceeded to sell as many as I could right in front of the Cathedral Basilica. The cause was to raise money for more than 250 local charities that help children.
