Parish prays for Bolivia mission priests
This month, members of St. Gianna Parish in St. Charles County are praying for three archdiocesan priests in Bolivia and for other missionary priests. But that is just one part of the effort at the parish to mark the Year for Priests.
Parishioners are praying for the priests in Bolivia “as well as writing them letters of encouragement and thanksgiving for serving as missionary priests, bringing the Eucharist and the sacraments to all the world,” said Mary Romine, a member of St. Gianna who is helping with the Year for Priests celebration.
Pope Benedict XVI invoked a special Year for Priests to mark the 150th anniversary of the death of St. John Vianney, patron saint of priests.
