Help needed “Now More than Ever” during October Respect Life Month

With the current economy and a presidential administration known for its anti-life stance, support for a culture of life is needed — “Now More than Ever.”

That’s the theme the archdiocesan Respect Life Apostolate is taking on during Respect Life Month, which is marked during October. Parishes in the archdiocese and around the United States will observe Respect Life Sunday at Masses this weekend, Oct. 3 and 4.

“Now, more than ever, is the time to be pro-life and put into practice your pro-life beliefs,” said Beth Lauver, director of the Respect Life Apostolate.

The apostolate is encouraging the faithful to become involved in pro-life activities, from prayer vigils outside of the local Planned Parenthood abortion facility to participation in the annual archdiocesan Respect Life Convention, scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 25.
