Network growing to meet needs across St. Louis area
The SGSM Network is growing again.
Formerly known as South Grand Senior Ministry, the network initially began in 2001 as a partnership of three Catholic parishes in South St. Louis to help older adults remain safely in their homes as long as possible.
Over the years, the ministry has grown to include clusters of faith communities that coordinate, cooperate and collaborate to improve the quality of life of older adults. To reflect this, South Grand Senior Ministry became the SGSM Network in 2008.
The newest cluster to join the network is South County Senior Ministry. Other clusters are in the Grand Center and South Grand areas of St. Louis City, Northeast County Deanery, and Lindenwood, which is now independent.
