Many parishes in the archdiocese will have guest speakers at the Masses this weekend — Kenrick-Glennon seminarians explaining the importance of Faith for the Future, the capital campaign to support Kenrick-Glennon Seminary.

The first capital campaign in the history of the archdiocesan seminary, Faith for the Future aims at raising $50 million to upgrade facilities and increase the seminary endowment.

Archbishop Robert Carlson, in his letter to Catholic families announcing the Faith for the Future campaign, explained, “This campaign is in response to many needs brought on by an increase in seminarians attending Kenrick-Glennon, as well as an aging building. The seminary was completed in 1931, a time of tremendous economic distress for everyone. Kenrick-Glennon Seminary is a reflection of the faith of those who devoted themselves to making it a lasting legacy to the archdiocese.
