A Mass to pray for health care reform that respects the dignity of all human life will be celebrated next month.

The Mass will take place 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at St. Mary Magdalen Parish, 2618 Brentwood Blvd. in Brentwood. Msgr. Eugene Morris, pastor, will be the main celebrant.

The archdiocesan Respect Life Apostolate is organizing the Mass. All Catholics in the archdiocese are welcome.

“With all of the concern that people have for this issue, we thought that prayer and celebrating a Mass together would be a beautiful way to bring those concerns to God,” said director Beth Lauver.

“While it is important to write letters and do all we can to make sure that respect for life and our Catholic values are protected in any piece of legislation, it’s even more important to remember that ultimately this and everything else is in God’s hands.”
