Young Friends for Life to host post-abortion healing campaign
Next month, Young Friends for Life is sponsoring an event to help initiate a post-abortion healing campaign in the St. Louis area.
“Life In the City,” will take place Thursday, Sept. 10, from 7-10 p.m. at the City Museum Downtown.
Proceeds from the event will go toward media campaign directed at men and women who have been affected by abortion.
In addition, funding will go toward workshops for mental and medical health professionals to increase their awareness of post-abortion syndrome.
Individuals “who are suffering from post-abortion syndrome are probably dealing with some physical and mental and emotional issues,” said Steve Fowler, chairperson of the event’s planning committee. “We want to catch them when they are on their way to (a doctor to) respond to those issues. Maybe that will spark the question, ‘I wonder if this has something to do with my abortion?’”
