The archdiocesan Office of Natural Family Planning this fall will offer an online course on natural family planning.

The six-week course, scheduled to be held Sept. 27 through Nov. 11, will focus on the Church’s teachings and science on NFP as well as its practical applications.

The course is designed for  individuals, including deacons, grade and high school teachers, engaged and married couples, who wish to enhance their understanding of NFP.

Divided into three, two-week sections, the course will begin with the theological foundation of NFP, followed by the science and health applications beyond spacing children. The last part of the course includes personal testimonies from other couples who use NFP. They also will answer questions about how their lives, marriages and families have been affected by using NFP.

Cost for the course is $30 per person. For an additional fee, the course may be taken for credit through the Pope Paul VI Institute for Catechetical Studies. The course is limited to 30 participants.
