“God’s Plan for a Joy-Filled Marriage,” a new seminar based on Pope John Paul II’s “Theology of the Body,” is being offered to married couples and as a supplemental marriage preparation program for engaged couples.

Sponsored by the archdiocesan Office of Laity and Family Life,  the program is described as an interactive seminar that offers married and engaged couples “a compelling vision of God’s glorious plan for marriage, love and human sexuality.”

The seminar will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Holy Trinity Parish, 3500 St. Luke Lane in St. Ann.

Organizers of the seminar note that when people think of Christian teaching on sex and marriage, they often think of a list of prohibitions. The seminar offers a refreshing, liberating vision of marriage and marital love — one that helps couples fully embrace God’s glorious plan for their lives.
