Sister Elaine Lamm dies after being struck by auto
The driver of the car remained on the scene, and O’Fallon police are investigating.
A memorial Mass for Sister Elaine was celebrated June 11 in St. Joseph Chapel of the Sisters of the Most Precious Blood Motherhouse.
Sister Elaine, who was 64 when she died, was a former educator who had been a religious for 43 years.
A native of Shrewsbury, she was baptized at St. Michael the Archangel Parish and attended Bishop DuBourg High School, where she was taught by the Sisters of the Most Precious Blood.
