Sister Mary Ann Governal and Mrs. Ellen B. Ryan Memorial Development Grants made to 19 educational programs
Nineteen programs are recipients of this year’s Sister Mary Ann Governal and Mrs. Ellen B. Ryan Memorial Development Grants.
The annual grants, named in honor of two Catholic educators killed in an auto accident, are provided to encourage professional and spiritual growth, promote development of innovative programs and teaching methods and recognize outstanding efforts in ongoing development.
The grants are funded by an annual golf tournament, this year to be held June 20.
Grant recipients are:
Bridging Cultures Through Music — St. Alban Roe School (Wildwood) students ages 10-14 will play percussion instruments from around the world through the World Music Drumming Program.
Clelian Institute — Cor Jesu Academy (Affton) faculty and staff will attend a summer seminar for faculty and staff at the motherhouse of the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Hamden, Conn.
