Memorial Mass to be celebrated for Msgr.William A. Kerr
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, at St. Mary Magdalen Parish, 2618 Brentwood Blvd. in Brentwood, for Msgr. William A. Kerr.
A native St. Louisan, Msgr. Kerr was an associate pastor in St. Louis before moving to Florida. He later served as a college president and in other roles in Washington, D.C., Pittsburgh and Florida.
The 69-year-old priest suffered a stroke May 3, shortly after he completed his homily during Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More in Tallahassee. He died May 13.
