The Knights of Columbus is launching a statewide program this month to provide education and guidance to abortion-minded individuals.

The Savers of Life program is one more piece of the Catholic fraternal benefit organization’s longtime mission to promote a culture of life.

During the month of May, Knights of Columbus councils will distribute cards with the program’s logo attached to a packet of daisy seeds, which represent the child that the mother carries, according to Edward Spence, program coordinator and a district deputy for the Knights.

Cards are available for a financial contribution of the donor’s choice. Half of all proceeds each council raises will go to the Vitae Caring Foundation, which promotes a culture of life through the media. The other half raised by each council will be donated to a pro-life organization of its choice.
