Woodworker, artist’s talents at puzzles benefit children at Cardinal Glennon

It’s no puzzle how Vince Lochirco and Pat Aman spend their spare time.

The two members of St. Paul Parish in Fenton are creating puzzles for young patients at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center.

“Woodworking is my hobby,” said Lochirco, 70, a retired heating and air conditioning specialist whose basement woodworking shop would delight the folks on PBS’s “This Old House.” That hobby has resulted in many beautiful pieces of furniture for family and friends.

“When I retired, I decided to make puzzles for the kids at Cardinal Glennon,” Lochirco said.  He recently heard Aman was an artist, “so I asked if she wanted to paint the puzzles.” Aman, 66,  a part-time parish secretary at St. Paul, answered with an enthusiastic yes.
