Send to friendA funeral Mass was celebrated March 14 at the Visitation Academy Chapel in Town and Country for Sister Mary Josephine Reau, who taught art for many years in the lower school.
Sister Mary Josephine, 92, died at Visitation Monastery March 12.
Baptized Margaret Marie Reau, she was born in Duluth, Minn. She attended various colleges in an ongoing education in the field of art. She was a member of the Women’s Army Corp during World War II and spent 20 months in Italy during that time. Her two most memorable experiences involved seeing Pope Pius XII and Padre Pio.
