The museum, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary, is at 3700 West Pine Blvd. on the Midtown campus. The exhibit runs through Sunday, April 26, and hours of operation are Tuesday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. "Good Friday" includes works from 30 artists who have used the events of Good Friday as an inspiration for their own reflections on themes including faith, suffering, loss, compassion and unconditional love. Most of the pieces are from the museum’s collection and use a range of media including painting, sculpture and fiber arts. The museum also has printed a booklet to accompany the exhibit. Partly inspired by the Stations of the Cross, it includes passages from Scripture relevant to Good Friday, exhibit pieces that relate to the Scripture, reflection questions and space for notes. Admission is free, with a suggested donation of $5 for adults and $1 for students and children. For more information on "Good Friday" and directions to the museum, visit the Museum of Contemporary Religious Art website at mocra.slu.edu or call (314) 977-7170.
