Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly versionSend to friendSend to friendThe archdiocesan Office of Vocations is sponsoring a Contemplative Nun Run on Saturday, March 14, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. The event — a series of visits, not a race — is open to women ages 16-25 who would like to learn more about cloistered religious life. Participants will visit four contemplative religious communities: the Poor Clare Nuns in South County, the Discalced Carmelite Sisters in Clayton, the Passionist Nuns in Ellisville and the Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters (Pink Sisters) in North St. Louis. The day will begin with prayer and a continental breakfast at 8 a.m. at the Office of Vocations in Shrewsbury. Participants are asked to bring their own sack lunch, and drinks will be provided. Parent volunteers are needed to drive. Suggested donation to participate is $10 per person. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, March 11. For more information, call the Office of Vocations at (314) 792-6460.
