Immaculate Conception, holy day of obligation

It is one of the oldest Marian feasts, dating back to the seventh century. The schedule of Masses for the holy day at several churches in the archdiocese is: CATHEDRAL OF ST. LOUIS, Lindell Boulevard and Newstead Avenue: Friday at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday at 8 a.m. and noon. BASILICA OF ST. LOUIS (Old Cathedral), Memorial Drive and Walnut Street: Saturday at 8 a.m. and noon. ST. FRANCIS XAVIER (College Church), Grand Avenue and Lindell Boulevard: Friday at 5:15 p.m. and Saturday at 7:15 a.m. and noon (in the chapel). ST. JOHN, APOSTLE AND EVANGELIST, 16th and Chestnut streets, Friday at 5:10 p.m. and Saturday at 12:10 p.m. ST. JOSEPH, Maryland and Meramec avenues, Clayton: Friday at 5 p.m. and Saturday at 8 a.m. and noon. ST. PETER, 243 W. Argonne Drive, Kirkwood: Saturday at 7:30 and 9 a.m. STE. GENEVIEVE, Ste. Genevieve: Saturday at 8 and 10 a.m. ST. FRANCIS BORGIA, Washington: Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 7 and 9 a.m.
